FAQ
What is this?
The strkBTC Faucet gives eligible users a small amount of strkBTC on Starknet.
How does it work?
Sign in with X before registration closes. Administrators then screen wallets and allocate payouts while claims stay shut. When claims open, come back and check whether you were selected.
In week one, selected users receive around $10 worth of strkBTC.
From week two onwards, amounts may be drawn at random at our discretion, which may be anywhere up to $100 worth of strkBTC.
Claiming happens in two steps. First you claim half your amount as unshielded strkBTC, along with a bonus of 7 STRK. Then you register your wallet with the privacy pool and claim the other half as shielded strkBTC. Any extra channel setup for that transfer happens in the shielded claim step.
Selection and amounts are at the faucet's discretion and can change between rounds.
Do I need a wallet?
Yes. You’ll need a Starknet wallet such as Xverse. Once set up, connect the wallet to claim.
What is strkBTC?
strkBTC is shielded Bitcoin on Starknet. It's a new kind of BTC, designed for privacy, powered by zero-knowledge proofs, and usable across the Starknet ecosystem.
How do I make my strkBTC private?
strkBTC is powered by STRK20, a privacy token framework compatible with any ERC20. This allows strkBTC to activate Shield Mode, a one-click feature that makes your strkBTC private. You can turn Shield Mode on or off directly from your Ready X or Xverse wallet.
What can I do with strkBTC?
Once you receive strkBTC, you can manage it in Xverse and use avnu to swap.
Is there anything else I should know?
Participation, distribution and eligibility, amongst other things, are subject to the strkBTC Faucet Terms of Use. Please read these carefully before you participate.
What's the catch?
No catch. This is simply a free Faucet to get started on Starknet with a little bit of strkBTC.
